You may be wondering, “How do I find the right church?” We would like to offer the following suggestions to help make your search a little more productive.
1. Seek the heart of God concerning where He wants you.
2. Make the personal commitment to be in church somewhere every Sunday while you’re searching.
3. Be sure you have the blessing of the pastor of your former church, if you had one. Make sure you left your former church for the right reasons.
4. Be open-minded about worship, music, and preaching styles. There is so much more to a church than what takes place on Sunday.
5. Remember, it is impossible to know in one visit if a church is the will of God for you. Attend every service possible for one month before checking out another place.
6. Find out what the vision of the church is, then compare it with your calling to see if you can fit into the vision of that house.
7. Find out what the doctrinal statement of the church is.
